At Premier Vision Group, we are pleased to offer a wide range of optometric services for our patients.
Comprehensive Eye Examinations
Our doctors provide thorough eye examinations for the entire family. We welcome patients of all ages from infants and children to adults and the geriatric population. In addition to routine vision examinations, our doctors are experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, dry eye disease, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, cataracts, amblyopia, strabismus (lazy eye), conjunctivitis (pink eye) and many other ocular conditions.
Contact Lens Services
Contact lens including single vision, astigmatism, multifocal soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses. Our doctors are experienced in fitting specialty contact lenses for irregular corneas and for corneal refractive therapy.
Corneal refractive therapy is a reversible, nonsurgical way of correcting nearsightedness with overnight wear of specialized custom rigid gas permeable contact lenses.
Irregular corneas require advanced contact lens designs. Conditions like keratoconus, corneal transplants, corneal dystrophies and degenerations, and severe dry eyes can cause the cornea to have an irregular shape. New advanced technologies in contact lens design allow patients to see exceptionally well. Scleral lenses are advanced technology contact lenses. These lenses re-normalize the irregular cornea and can provide exceptional vision for those who have struggled with their vision for years. The lens is highly specialized and is custom-designed for every patient. Our doctors are trained in fitting this specialty lens and perform research for advances in the field of scleral lenses.

Our doctors are experienced in treating eye emergencies and our office has the specialized equipment needed to diagnose the problem. We are available to help you twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Medical visits to our office are typically covered by your medical insurance plan. Hopefully, you will never experience an eye emergency. But, if you do, you can be assured that we will be here for you.
Digital Retinal Photography
Digital retinal photography uses a high-resolution camera to take pictures of the inside of your eye. This digital image helps your doctor assess the health of your retina and helps your doctor detect and manage such eye and health conditions as glaucoma, diabetes and macular degeneration. Finding retinal disorders as early as possible is critical to potentially preventing serious disease progression and even vision loss.
In addition to detecting eye disease early, retinal images provide a permanent, historical record of changes in your eye. Images can be compared side-by-side, year after year, to discover even subtle changes and to help monitor your eye health.
Refractive Surgery Co-Management
We work together with the area’s leading surgeons in the management Lasik vision correction and post-operative care following cataract surgery.
Optical Coherence Tomography or OCT
OCT technology is a non-invasive imaging test that uses light to generate a high-resolution, cross-sectional and three-dimensional (3D) images of the retina, optic nerve, cornea and other parts of the eye. These images give our doctors valuable information that aid in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, and diseases of the retina including macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease.
InfantSEE®
Cooing, sitting up and crawling are signs that your baby is growing. Your baby’s vision goes through important stages too. Did you know eye problems in children can occur without noticeable symptoms? One in ten infants have been found to have a visual or medical condition that needs close follow-up. An eye and vision assessment is an important step in making sure your baby is seeing properly and has healthy eyes. The InfantSEE® program provides a one-time, no cost eye and vision assessment for babies 6-12 months old. Our doctors can detect conditions early to ensure babies have the opportunity to develop the visual abilities they need to grow and learn.
Dry Eye
Dry eye is much more than simply having eyes that feel dry. It can cause blurry vision, uncomfortable eyes, and can affect the delicate tissues of the eye by causing them to scar. We investigate the underlying cause of dry eye through advanced diagnostic technologies and will create an individualized treatment plan for you to help your eyes function more normally. One of the root causes of dry eye is meibomian gland dysfunction. Meibomian glands produce the natural oily layer of the tear film that is critical to allowing your eyes to function normally. When your eyes do not produce these oils in adequate amounts, it can lead to symptoms of dry eye. Our doctors are able to perform advanced procedures in the office to treat this problem. Ask our doctors if this treatment is right for you.
EnChroma
Our office is one of only 8 others in state of Ohio that feature EnChroma color vision deficiency glasses. EnChroma lenses are uniquely engineered to give those with color deficiencies the ability to see more of the broad spectrum of bright color most of us take for granted. Click here for more information about EnChroma.
Mpod
Our Lima office offers the macular pigment optical density (MPOD) screening instrument. This simple test evaluates the level of pigment that is found in the macula, or the part of the retina that is responsible for your central vision. Macular pigment is comprised of lutein and zeaxanthin and has been shown to naturally absorb blue light. Low levels of macular pigment have been indicated as a risk factor for macular degeneration.
Adenoplus
“Pink-eye” viral conjunctivitis affects nearly 7 million people in the United States every year. 1 in 4 cases of acute conjunctivitis have been found to be due to the adenovirus,. The Adenoplus is a quick painless test that can determine if the cause of your red irritated eyes is the adenovirus.
